new iPhone, part duex…

if i had known that upgrading my iTunes would take so long, i would have started blogging when i started it. let’s just say it took a pint to get that far. now, i still have to activate my phone, upgrade my iPhone software, and sync the damn thing. let’s see how many pints it takes. let’s say, for the sake of science, that one pint equals 30 or so minutes for me (a liberal estimation, i assure you)… ready, go! (and i’m plugging in my phone and going to get another pint. let’s call this one, “pint 1″. now, go… haha - “you must restart your system”…ok then.

well, 1/8th into my next pint and my iPhone is “active”. however, there is much syncing to be done. namely, i want to make sure that the apps i bought for my last iPhone transfer into this one, then i have to go into media monkey, pull the music i bought on my phone that i transferred into iTunes, into it, and then sync it all to get everything…all the goods. yeah. how many pints? here goes…

EDIT: so far it says “25 minutes remaining for the iPhone software update”. that’s a long time. that’s a lot of beer. (haha i typed beef twice. fruedian slip? well, that’s another blog…) screw it, i have time. still have 15 minutes left for the iPhone update to load. so, what’s the most ironic “guilty pleasure” a vegetarian could have??? i’d have to say, from personal - - omg i just got interrupted by a guy that SWEARS i AM his aunt. like, he actually said, “she doesn’t even know how much like her you are…”. and i’m like, “really?”. then he bought me a shot. and then my download timed out bc i closed my laptop.. and he also wants to introduce me to his cousin, but “not on a sexual level”, but he “wants to set me up with DOUGLAS anyway” because he all blogs and shit and is SO me….

so, one shot later, half a pint left, and a red stripe that “william” bought me…

EDIT: anyway, “william” is going to get a shot. for himself. the pint factor is off the hook right now, bc he bought me a shot and a “red stripe”. which is fine, except i don’t really drink that and now my phone is flashing in crazy ways at me…may mean that stuff is happening…still have to get the new software and get my music and podcasts and stuff… omg, why william, why?

EDIT: ok, it looks like the iTunes update automatically included the iPhone software update. it’s doing something weird on my phone/computer right now…again…WTF? it may be the shots/beer/”william”…did i mention he wants to “set me up” with his cousin “doug” who has a “weird thing” growing off his nose???? yeah. go get me another beer, william. (kidding. i’m still choking down the red stripe.)

EDIT: i’m still working on the red stripe. it’s midnight, though, and my phone is just now “resetting” with the new software (i think). oh, ruben has tennis at 5. i don’t think that’s me. so i have a phone. but not really an iPod. at least, not just yet.

EDIT: 1200: appears that all my apps may sync. they better. i paid good money for them.

LAST EDIT: 1201: i think i got it. man, if you have an iPhone and don’t use media monkey, you should. i know i can pull ALL my iTunes songs into it, and sync this baby with all it’s apps and everything will be good from here forward. i’m still syncing, but i know i have my phone back. kinda seems like a lot of shit to go through just to get to my email, web, and phone. i’m really considering the nokia e71, palm pre, or any blackberry once i’m eligible for an upgrade. i’m just sayin’…we’re talking at least two hours for this shit. and i already had an iPhone. and apps. and whatnot…

MAYBE LAST EDIT: (1210) “william” never came back. i’m okay with that. sorry this is so long. my phone is still “syncing”. not sure it’s worth all the hub-bub.

LAST UPDATE/EDIT: (1212) all apps on the new phone. will sync via media monkey tomorrow to get all my music. shots and beer wearing heavy. must leave now. phone appears to be functional. thank jesus. ALL HAIL APPLE (sarcasm). night night.

SUPER FINAL UPDATE: (1218) none of my contacts transferred to the new phone. NONE of them. super WTF????
