hostage

i was held hostage by a dog today. (sorry james) he’s really an awesome dog, just a little dominant at times when his non-owner is letting him go potty and such. and he may possibly be deadly. i must disclaim, however, that no blood was drawn. he’s just really scary sometimes when he gets all happy and shit. if he hadn’t scared the pee out of me, i would have taken an awesome pic to post on here. but, he scared the pee out of me. no pic. sorry.

however, i googled scary dogs, and he kinda looked like this. only more teeth.

woulda scared you too

I had an internal conversation with myself a long time ago. If an animal ever attacks me, I am fully prepared to defend myself. I don’t want to be one of those people who are taken by surprise and go into shock and do nothing. Cause if it is him or me…I am going to pick me.

Okay

This is James the owner of said dog in question. His name is Earl Shaker and he is a wonderful australian cattle dog full of life and expression. I want to clear the record. The fault or blame for this scary incident lays completely at my feet. I am a lazy dog owner who does not go to the trouble to ensure that he behaves all the time or when I’m not around. I did not take into account that disrupting his routine might predispose him to aggression. So, I apologize for my shortcomings as a responsible dog owner and am relieved that the incident was resolved in a timely manner with no bloodshed–human or canine.

Happy Birthday Sue and suck it.
