things for today…

i subscribe to an email list serv called very short list and today’s web email was a link to one of the funnier blogs i’ve seen of late, fuckyoupenguin.  it’s a wonderful smack down on all those cute animal pics that eventually make you want to vomit (but don’t because then you’re a douchebag who hates cute animals).  well, this guy does all the douchebagging for you, and with great humor.

also, check out cnet’s tech predictions for 2009.  i’m hanging on to my iPhone 1.0 until they come out with a version that will unlock my car and start my engine for me…here’s the video with their thoughts on what we may have to look forward to:

also, i like that cnet has gone out on a limb and predicted that stand alone gps devices will be a thing of the past soon, but i have to disagree.  certainly, sales will decline with the advent of the gps enabled cell phone.  but, i think that there is still a good market full of people that don’t want to have to fuck with their phone while they’re driving.  they want their damn gps on and up and fully accessable without all the fumbling while driving.  plus, they talk to you.  my phone doesn’t talk to me.  bitch.
