thursday thoughts

• i hate my hour long commute (one way) to work each day. makes it hard to be on time after a night of revelry with friends. buuuut, it struck me yesterday, after a particularly good performance (it’ll make sense in a minute, trust me), that the one hour or so drive gives me the perfect amount of time to perform an awesome hour-long set of steering wheel air guitar from my totally favorite band, Jukebox the Ghost (who i love and may bake cookies for with their faces ridiculously exaggerated on thereof). they are awesome, and when i “play” them in my car, i imagine myself a husky voiced rachel maddow - amy ray mix of geek girl sex appeal, and i’m a totally awesome guitarist. it’s my life, leave me alone.

• my favorite new place to spend money i can’t afford to spend, ThinkGeek.com, played an april fool’s day joke yesterday. kind of backfired on them a little:

i fell for it; almost sent it to my buddy for his kid

• every six months or so, i hear or see some news about how it’s just plain bad to wash your hair with shampoo everyday. so, this last time i thought, what the heck, i’ll give it a try. i was totally ready to create a new page with my “hair experiment”; i was gonna put pics up and everthing. thing is, i only lasted a day. if i go more than two days without shampoo i look like i’ve been changing oil at kwik lube and using my head as the oil drip pan. not an exaggeration. seriously.

for these last two, there is one thing you need to know; i don’t pay for tv. therefor, i only get two channels. 21 (fox?), and some “my network tv”, which is channel 27 (antenna style):

• i’ve really come to love this show called “Still Standing“. that shit is funny.

• and, “king of the hill” makes me laugh too. and cringe. it’s so true. and sad. and funny.
