I think she is right… when this is all said and done, we will have a new respect for money and credit.

I spoke to my great-grandmother-in-law recently — she lived through the depression. and to this day, she still saves pickle jars, and plastic bags and pretty much everything else she can reuse. She also distrusts all investments, including stocks and slick-talking wall stree investment products. She likes cash and only cash.

i only use cash, too. but, it’s mainly because i have to see the money leaving my hand for it to be “real” to me. but it was refreshing to read the article and see that it’s possible to maintain some optimism in the face of all our economic woes.
