why are we, as a nation, not outraged by this?

now - and i’m really serious here - please tell me why we are not beside our collective selves with anger that a public servant, sworn to protect us, can kill a defenseless citizen (by shooting him in the back) and be walking free, more than one week later?
i am not willing to accept that this apathy is race related. maybe i’m naiive, but the unprovoked killing of a civilian - any civilian - would, in this country (and should), cause an uproar from all citizens.
so, why hasn’t it?

i want to clarify that i am not vilifying the police. and i also understand that there is the possibility that this officer thought he was pulling and firing his taser (although, his taser was holstered on the left side of his belt). but, for argument’s sake, let’s say he did think he was pulling his taser… why, on earth, would any police officer (surrounded by other officers) feel the need to tase (much less shoot) someone who is face down on the ground, with two officers’ knees in his back???

I think ‘we’ ARE outraged. This is going to spread like wildfire on the web. Luckily we have a video of this and a mechanism by which to spread it to the masses.
well…I may be wrong here but the cop realized his ass was fried immediatly..the kids familys lawer would finish him off since it was all on video..really no defense for the wannabe stormtrooper…he took of I think and got caught…well..hes history, pretty much a open and shut case..I hope his family gets millions out of this..maybe some of these trigger happy goons in blue wont be so eager to draw and shoot..(I think too many of those cops watch the tv show “Cops”)the killer cop will be doing yrs in solitary probably..if not, I hope his mama brings him alot of Astroglide when she visits..that is if he lives long enuff to get “girlified”
