Consumer Irritation-Lonestar Appliance Repair
Posted Under: Reviews
is it me, or do appliance repair people know they have you by the balls and therefor don’t give a sh!t once they have your money? i had a repairman out to “fix” my washer/dryer combo a month ago, and i paid him $75 even though he couldn’t find anything wrong. he said, and i quote, “i’ll be happy to come back if it still doesn’t work.” well, guess what. yeah, it still doesn’t work. guess what else? yeah, he won’t answer or return my calls. i seem to be having difficulty getting the company who sent him out to return my calls as well. well guess what, Lonestar Appliance Repair, i’m unemplyed, bitches, which means i have all day everyday to find new and creative ways to get the word out that you are douches.
it’s simple. i ether want my washer/dryer fixed, or i want my money back. i don’t think my expectations are unreasonable. i do think your complete disregard for me as a consumer is. so suck it.
ps - i will by happy to update/edit this post once you have fulfilled your obligations to me.

They know they have us by the balls. Some repairmen are great, and some not so…. well honest. And they know if they keep coming back, then they keep getting paid. My suggestion, ask them to come back and fix the problem. If they don’t fix the problem and refund your money, then launch a jihad on their ass. You have a website, smear their name in the mud. Get on every local listing that has their name and write a review of their work. It will hurt them for a long time to come…
Wow, I sound like a real ass. But if they do shotty work, then others need to know about it. Just a thought….
The great thing about the web is that it allows for the individual, who feels they may have been wronged, to speak out. We had no such free market protections before the web came out.
Based on this review, I’ll never call Lonestar Appliance Repair, considering there are hundreds of other repair companies out there… why take the risk, right?

I am here to second the scam alert on Lonestar Appliance Repair at 5204 Welbeck Ct, Garland Texas 75043. This ‘business’ is run out of a house in Garland owned by Andrew and jamee Murillo, probably the owners since the house has a homestead tax exemption on it. Chris Ruiz is the contact there.
i called Lonestar appliance to repair my refrigerator. They came out and the tech Francisco Luiz began work WITHOUT quoting the price (my fault for not asking). he went in and replaced two parts. The freezer defrost and the termostat (which is NOT designed to be replaced). he snipped the wires instead of using the factory plugs for the termostat, and while attempting to clip the wires, he actually crimped shut the high pressure capillary that feeds the freon into the heat exchanger that allows the refrigerator to operate normally. The second day, he came out to ‘add freon’ put 12 ounces in a 4.25 ounce system, AFTER he tapped in at the wrong place. They charged me 350 dollars for what should have been a 160 dollar repair. I cancelled my check at the end of the first meeting though, as I saw the damage. I talked to Chris Ruiz several times, in which he argued back and forth with me stating they would NOT pay for the full repair of my refrigerator, nor would they refund my check. I told him the check had been cancelled, but he still attempted to deposit it and it was rejected. I finally got him to agree with paying 400 dollars towards the 711.10 dollar repair the refrige needed, and he assured me that a check was on its way to me as well as my cancelled check. Here we are a week later and no registered mail has been sent with either in it. They no longer answer my phone calls, nor emails. I have reported them to the BBB, AND have been canvasing the web on every ratings site I can find warning people if DFW not to use these crooks. So if you read this. DO NOT use LoneStar Appliance Repair (www.lonestarappliancerepair.com). They WILL damage your appliance, claim it wasn’t their fault or worse claim it was then refuse to pay for repairs. one last thing. They will tell you if you ask they are GE certified / authorized technicians. This is a lie. They are EPA certified to recapture FREON gas from appliances. EPA certification is NOT a repair cert, it is a demo cert.
thank you for your reply. i, too, scoured the web looking for ratings sites to leave my experience, but found none. i suppose this is better than nothing. i only paid them the 75 bucks, so just let it go (plus i paid cash, to the “tech”, and did not get a receipt). my mistake. sorry you had such a bad experience with them. funny, after my second or third call to them, i got the feeling that this was a home-run business…not the worst thing in the world, but it did raise an eyebrow with me. i do believe they have seen this write-up, as i’ve had a couple of hits from the arlington area on this post…
This is the deal: These people run the operation from Florida. They hire incompetent techs who deposit the money to a bank account on BoA in Palm City, Florida. I know it because it appeared in my canceled check.
I got stung when the repair man JR Heiss, Longhorn Appliance in Austin TX, came and told me the problem with my dishwasher was the control board. He installed two of them and both burned within the hour of installation. Then guess what, the company claims that they need more money to find out why the board fries since this is “another problem” not covered in the warranty. Still, I dont have a working dishwasher and I am back to square one.
So I found out their EIN number and looked for them in the files of Texas Department of State, guess what, not registered!!! I suspect that they do not pay the service tax to the state. Is this a scam or what?
I just wanted to update you on the status of my issues with LoneStar Appliance Repair in Garland, Tx.
I did finally receive a check from them, not tfor the $400 they agreed to, but for $320 because they deducted the price of parts for what they put in.. what a laugh. They could have put a gold brink in the freezer, it doesn’t make the damage they did go away..
Either way, we did file a BBB complaint on them, and they have been busy replying to all my TOPIX posts printing my name and town location, yet they do not attempt to answer the issues at hand. The lies others will post to do damage control is amazing. This is all basically it for me. Letting the BBB do their thing, and again, I hope others will read this blog and avoid these people..
take care.
